TV Work
CUNY has been a constant thread in my life—a place where my education, creativity, and purpose have all found room to grow. I first arrived as a graduate student at The City College of New York, earning my MFA in Documentary Film in 2004, and returned years later to deepen my understanding of disability through the Disability Studies program at the School of Professional Studies, graduating in 2025. These two degrees, grounded in storytelling and disability justice, shape the way I move through the world and the way I use my craft.
My professional journey with CUNY TV began in 2003 as an editor, and quickly evolved into one of the most formative chapters of my career. I helped produce and launch Nueva York in 2005—an iconic series that has since earned 33 NY-Emmys—and later produced I Am a Dreamer, which received 5 NY-Emmys of its own in four seasons.
Today, I continue to collaborate with CUNY TV as a part-time editor on Sustainability Matters, a project that allows me to pursue one of my passions: raising ecological awareness through thoughtful, accessible storytelling.
For over two decades, CUNY has been more than an institution; it has been a creative home, a partner in my evolution, and a space that continues to nurture my voice.
