Disability Reflections
Disability Reflections is a creative, community-centered project that empowers disabled individuals to explore identity, agency, and imagination through embodied storytelling and filmmaking. Rooted in disability justice and the belief that disability is a natural part of human potential, the project unfolds in two parts: a filmmaking educational program and a media amplification program in the shape of a documentary multi-platform campaign.
Together, these elements challenge stereotypes, expand public understanding, and bring forward new images and stories shaped directly by disabled voices. Enter to explore the workshop, the films, and the collective vision behind this growing movement.

The Amplification Media Program takes the shape in Echoing Our Reflections, an envisioned 30-minute documentary in development about the Disability Reflections pilot participants. This specific documentary serves as a proof of concept for what it will the the on-going Disability Reflections. documentary multi-platform campaign
This 3-minute trailer introduces the online workshop, featuring excerpts from participant films created over five weeks, moments from the final screening and Q&A, and an intimate glimpse into the filmmaker’s life with her autistic son. The film invites deeper conversations on disability, representation, and justice.
